Hi Tony,

On the the Outline Styles dialog, you will see a checkbox "Use this view's outline style for new views."

If you check that, than it will apply whatever outline style you have in the current notepad to all new notepads you create in that file.

If you want to have all new files automatically do that, then start a new file, format a notepad's outlines the way you want all new notepad's outlines to be formatted in new files, check the "Use this view's outline style for new views" box, and save the file in your Ecco program directory giving it the name "default.ect"

It will probably ask you if you want to overwrite the existing default.ect and you can answer yes.
