What I am suggesting is that it looks like that file is filled to the max with items.

I don't think you can add much more to that file without possibly serious problems.

One possible strategy is to delete items (you could for example archive them to a second file),

Another is to break your file into two or more files in some logical separation, so that neither file exceeds the limits.

But I don't think it's a good idea just to keep adding to your file as it is.  It looks to me that it has hit the limit.
