I do want to mention though, that even all of that might be worth it if SS hits the mark.  However, for reasons mentioned, I expect it will take a long time for me to make the transition from Ecco/EE to SS even under the best of circumstances.

The only way around that might be if an Ecco file is fully importable with all features of Ecco/EE supported... something that is unlikely any time soon I presume.
