 Another way to get this done - which I use and now cannot live without - is running the (free) version of Oracle VirtualBox. You can run VB as host on Win, Mac or Linux. Under the host you can run Win XP forward, almost all Linux and Mac (not offically suported). Plus Android and a few others. Cut and paste between OS'.  Share hard drives.  Sertup a common desktop if that makes sense.   I've been running VB for maybe 7 years and still say everyday "this is so cool" as I bop between instances of 32-bit XP, 32 & 64-bit 7, and 32 & 64-bit 10.  I also say "this is so cool" when I run an instance of Ecco on each OS' and watch them talk to each other.  Setup is easy once you know how - of course.  But it's not too hard to learn. Only hitch is you need enough RAM to handle the extra OS demands.  IE, 3-4 gb for each 32-bit and more for each 64-bit.  Hope this helps.
