User drawn listview and missing backslashes

Is this a known issue? I've been using a listview in report style with data loaded from a .gdb file. It includes PC-type file paths in a (non-zero) column, and when it's user-drawn the backslashes disappear from the display. When I go into edit mode by clicking or whatever, they appear. When I take the user style off again, it's fine.
