Hi Fer,

I've tried to move it to xOnLoad but get a whole range of errors,
mainly concerning richedit events and commands.

My app starts already hidden but is made visible halfway the
startup procedure. When I do that at the end of the startup
procedure, the gui appears normal. But in my case it then takes
some time before the gui appears.
Another drawback for my app is that the display of startup
progression has become hidden. 

I have the impression that "pumpmessages" is broken somehow?
And as I wrote earlier, refreshing the gui is delayed after
e.g. you close a messagebox. This means, when you close a
messagebox, the gui is only refreshed after processing the
to the messagebox related script, even if you put a pumpmessages
in front of it.
