Thanks for the attempt! Sorry I have to say it makes no difference.

I've uploaded a demo to the files/temp folder that tries to show
that pumpmessages is broken somehow (at least on W2k/XP).

It opens a message box on one of the example gui's which is followed
by a pumpmessages and a sleep command. The full explanation is on
the messagebox itself.

What happens is that even after the pumpmessages, half of the
messagebox overlays the gui untill the sleep expired.  This doesn't
happen in 19.33 which immediately refreshes on the pumpmessages
and then execute the sleep command.
