I uploaded a new version of the packexe_dll.exe file in the FILES section of the newsgroup which fixes this problem. I should have included a "manifest" to tell windows to use the new graphics style. I hadn't included it before, but it worked ok, but now it didn't, so I did and it did.. Confused? So am I ..
