Thanks Fred &  Dimitris,

my first simple gui is working (visible) now.
I did put a
Set debug ON
line in the xONLOAD event
and a
say "hello"
& an INPUT line too
 in an xBUTTON event

There is no output window opening though.
====
G4C SPELLCHECK

WINDOW 10 10 300 300 Spellcheck

xONLOAD
  set debug on
  GuiOpen #this

xONRELOAD
  GuiOpen #this

xONCLOSE
  GuiQuit #this

XBUTTON 30 35 145 40 'Click Me!'
    say "hello"
    Input "ok" var "?"

======

I am now looking into what is different with the Amiga version
(such as the name that you have to put next to the G4C line. I guess that's
the gui's ID ?
)
It would be nice if there was some doc with hints on these differences. Is
there?
If not, i would be gratefull if you from memory could gve me some list of (new
& different) commands & events to look at first., just to shorten my lurning
curve

Is there some written Gui that mimicks the many 2 sided file managers i am
used to on the Amiga?

And this is a Windows question: can i stop the behavior of windows that take
up the full screen when i just want to drag them a bit?
