I have been playing with Gui4Cli and still more with SciEd, i would like to
support a bit more functionality.
In fact f it is not available i would like to port a Gui i use on the Amiga,
allowing me to spellcheck with aspell., in the 'list' mode, i do sort the
list, eliminate duplicated errors and present the result in a listview.
Clicking on a line in the list of errors found, i copy that line in the
clipboard and from there in the search & replace function. I prefer to clean
up texts when writing is done, and i have the impression that this method is
faster too.. In fact since its independant of the editor i can use it with
any editor.
Some problems though:
1.) I have tried to use the clipboard but as far as i can see it is not
possible to get what is in the clipboard when just selected (Ctrl_C Crtl_X)
I used to then display that value say in a windowtitle, to be sure what the
clipboard contains before pasting
In fact i guess what is needed sis some
"xONSELECT "
event,
or as it was under AOS
xNOTIFY clips:0
2). Treeviews do not open on the given assign, but just above and show stuff
i don't need, can i suppress that?
3). When addressing a .htm file as
RUN $File2Sh Open
and the browser window is not open, the result will not show up, how can id
force the window to open?
4) Impose SciEd ( &other applications te recognise what is put in the
clipboard
.XBUTTON 30 35 145 40 'Impose clip'
Input "clip" var "<BR>"
SetClip $var TEXT
SetWinTitle #this $var
The result is shown in the title , but is not available in the
clipboard for SciEd
Can the SetClip content be made available for all applications?
If not i gues i can make it available for SciEd.(and from there possibly to
all windows applications)
I figured out this:
- read in in Sci Ed some document say with html tags
- use the ScEd commands to- go tot the appropriate line (first one in the
given example above )
- markung & selecting it (put it in the clipboard)
I think i found the needed SciEd commands, but then i have only an interface
to SciEd (o have o use SciEd simulaneously with an other editor i want to
use.
So i wonder: if i can do it this way why should Gui4Cli not do it?
Then the solution would be independent of SciEd.
Do i miss something ?
For the rest i am quite impressed with new possibilities/
Congratulations to Dimitris.
All the best as somebody used to say
Joseph
