Hi Chris,

Since I don't have an XP laptop handy, try this version:
http://gui4cli.com/Gui4Cli-test.exe

Apparently the problem is caused by MS trying to do away with XP. They have
set the default configuration in Visual Studio 2013 (which I use) to use
new include files which are not compatible with XP. To use XP you have to
change this and define yourself whatever new defines you want to use. They
don't tell you this - you have to find it out by searching through really
boring articles written in "coder-speak".

Hope it works

Dimitris
