I'm sure this had been discussed recently but I cannot find a trace of the convo. If I delete a large folder - nothing complex, highlight, hit shift+delete, say Yes - I will often repeatedly hit the message... "Cannot remove folder [insert random folder here]: It is being used by another person or program." It's not true. If I repeat the delete request it proceeds farther, usually hits the same message repeatedly. Eventually all the files/folders go. I get the same problem with automated processes like MSBuild deleting a whole folder structure before trying a build. Any ideas on how to fix it? It's becoming really annoying. It didn't use to happen so I wonder if some Windows Update fix (I drink *all* the Kool-Aid) has foisted buggy code on me. Environment - WinXP + SP3 - I take every patch from Windows update.
