RE: Mini or Small Laptop for .NET Development

Gotta say I think VS sucks on a small screen.  Maybe you can tolerate it.

 

I’ll second the RAM/disk advice.  My last laptop had 2Gb.  It was really only enough to run VS or something else.  I like to run VS plus loads of stuff.  I recommend 4Gb and Win 7 64bit.  That combo is working beautifully for me.

 

Whilst it’s a laptop in practice I rarely compute when I’m moving.  It’s more like a portable desktop.

Try to get one with a lot of ram and a speedy disk, VS likes both. So a mini is a bad idea for 'serious' development.
