Mono is what you're looking for. The parts of the C# app that interact
with Windows services will almost certainly have to be rewritten.
Doing what you're trying to do is very feasible, but precisely how
much effort is involved depends on your particular app and its
dependencies. Have a look at the Mono Migration Analyzer
(http://www.mono-project.com/MoMA).
