Linux, Mono and Windows Services, MSMQ and WCF

I have been asked to look into porting a .NET application to Linux. I am brand new to Linux. The first thought is to port\migrate all the code to Java. I have never worked with Java so that means bringing in consultants. The funds are allocated to do this, I simply worry about migrating the application from .NET to Java and all the problems we will undoubtedly encounter. In addition this is a .NET shop. Going to Java means a portion of our Seas product is now written in Java; which means a Java resource to maintain.

I was able to create a simple Hello World .NET console app that runs on a Linux box via Mono. 

Today I found out the app uses 2 Windows Services, .NET 3.5, MSMQ and WCF. My first thought is there is no way Linux\Mono can support all of this. 

I plan to start digging into this today. If anyone knows now some of or all of this is simply not doable on Linux with Mono please let me know before I invest a lot of time in this. If anyone can point me in the right direction, to some good resources, please do. 

I do not want to port this part of the application to Java if we do not have to, but if we have to we have to as the decision to go to Linux on the box where this part of the application runs has been made and I cannot change that.
