I do not think the iPod has a radio.  Though I am not sure you used the
radio on your Zune, you just mentioned that you listened to the radio a
bit.

My Zune was fantastic, but it is now broken.  My brother's broke as
well.  We owned them for 2 or 3 years I think, so I'm disappointed in
that aspect.  I'll admit I was quite rough with mine and it bounced off
a few rocks and tasted a bit of salt water in its day.  But is the iPod
more reliable?  

 

I mostly listen to podcasts and the radio.  Everything I like always
seems to be free, so I never have a need to buy or subscribe to music or
literature or anything else.  So I'm focusing on reliability.

 

Being able to jump ahead 30 seconds and speed up playback is also
important, we all know that certain .NET podcasts can be a long hard
slog at normal speed.  (Not the ones made by people on this list!)
