How does ruby on rails differ from asp.net mvc? When people say dynamic, they mean untyped? The untyped stuff in MVC is the part of that framework that I actually dislike. Having to use viewdata to pass arguments to the site master. Anonymous types used for route values - dont like that very much. I am ok with the convention part of MVC, but would like the compiler and visual studio to tell me when I am not adhering to convention. Does ruby on rails work by convention also?
