My Zune crashed hard the other day and I had to reinstall the firmware. Now
it's working much better, even though the install said it failed. The only
real problem is it is hard to keep it turned off, so if I don't keep it in a
box where nothing else can touch it and turn it on, the battery runs down.
The lock mechanism does not work at all. I abused it severely, it has been
dropped a number of times while biking at speed, and has been repeatedly
exposed to salt water, so I can't really complain. But I need something
rock solid reliable and simple, and that does not expose me to cute crappy
software.
