Most people seem to like things that way. Convention over configuration. As for Visual Studio specifically, it has been so slow and bloated for years, that I believe the best thing MS can do is to start removing features and focusing on making it as fast and stable as possible. Except, start paying a lot more attention to JS of course. Mike
