*Clip MenuPaste have stopped pasting

hello! i've changed pp from
 5.1.04c to v.5.3_37unicode(5.3.37h1)

 and when i hit my shortcut
 *Clip MenuPaste shows Clip txt antries as usual
 but when i select one of them
 while a text editor is in foreground
 nothing happens.
 then i hit Ctrl+v and selected item is pasted as it should be.
 I've tried different text editors.
