First, I can't reproduce this error anymore, strange. Second, the script that has been giving this error can hardly be called "simple": 10+kb, 467 lines.

The code is as foilows:

...

if(pproflag(1)) do
.@Buffer(Source, Button)

quit all

endif

...

Function Buffer(Source, Button)

...

quit

Initially it was:

...

if(pproflag(1))
.@Buffer(Source, Button)
...

Function Buffer(Source, Button)

...

quit all

That is, the goal was to terminate the whole script in the Buffer function. But the "quit all" statement (second code sample) didn't operate as expected, and I've changed the code to that shown first above.

Later, in my experiments the error "endif missing" was displayed about the "if" statement (again, first code sample). But right now I can't remember how to entail the error message. Sorry.

By the way, this script works every other time (under the s2 version).

Yours sincerely,

Vochomurka

Thanks, very helpful. It turns out my test cases were too complicated to show the bug (they had nested scripts in separate files which seems to have hidden it).

You don't happen to have a simple script for the endif error message case? Don't bother if too much trouble.
