I took a guess at what this might be; something called "Cloaked Apps" which I fixed for active bars but not for vdesks in earlier versions. 

 Try the .35s5 exe uploaded to the powerpro installs file folder  Install 5.3.35s then copy this exe into powerpro exe folder.  
 

 I don;t have a fix for .37 (Unicode) and am not planning one for now.  There is no way around this using current versions, unfortunately.
 

 I do not use vdesks and my testing was very basic, so issues are possible.  Let me know how to recreate any you find.
 

 Win10 has its own vdesk facility which gets good reviews, I think. But I don't know how well it plays with PPro in general.
