Do not use the unicode version unless you  must have unicode text on menus and buttons or in scripting   It is a pain to use since pproconf does not support it and there is only an awkward workaround using a separate interface to pproconf,. 

 As far as I know, everything still works in win10 except for some very obscure stuff like desktop icon positions saving.
