I tried FF with .. non-Unicode .35 on my laptop (not my standard machine).  I could not get any issues in about 10 minutes of testing.  I did use hot keys of many types to test but not events   

 Could you export and upload your hot keys (after xxxx ing anything private in ini file export).  Use configure setup|export text, specify file name for .ini, select scheduled or hot keys. 

 If you are interested and have time, could you install the non-unicode .35 in different PPro exe folder but same pcf folder, re-enable hot keys, and see which one causes the error.
 

 What is key intercept method on key|setup.  Only these two should be used:  New 2 (NOT new) or global.  If using one, switch to other, then restart PPro.  Does that make a difference.
 

 I don't know how scheduled events could affect this, but if you upload your events, I will take a look.
