I don;t think it relates to anything in ppro itself, unless it somehow relates to the script itself.  Could you post it? 

 PPro does not depend on  anything about what is happening in the event plugin for destroythis, AFAIK.
 

 However, it is quite possible that destroythis works sometimes and not others.  I am pretty sure I did some testing when I created it and it worked for what I tested.  That is why having the script may help.
