Thanks,  Yes it works for me as a script file run from a bar button. For what it is worth, it also works for me on a separate laptop.
 I am using the install file from the file section, 35s6.
 

 So this likely means there still is a timing issue on other machines like yours.  I thought I solved it, but I guess it is subtler that I thought.
 

 If this was important and if I was younger, then I might ask you to run a debug version of dll to investigate further.
 

 But  given my age and the availability of workarounds (like global variables or 35r), I am going to take your advice and  let it be.
