There is no way in general in Windows to get the text from another application's window. <div><br></div><div> But if it is already selected text in a text editor which is known to the script (ie is fixed in advance), then you should be able to use the clip plugin to copy it then get it from the clipboard. It will of course overwrite whatever is already on the clip board.<div><br></div><div>You may have to save current active window, switch to text editor, wait, clip.copy, wait, switch back as part of this, depending on whether care about preserving the active window as part of the processing.</div><div><br></div></div>
