Update to a recent version of GParted and you'll have full NTFS support.
GParted also comes as a bootable CD or USB device which I find really helpful
for these situations.

Also, while talking about partitions and stuff, I invite you all to try XOSL
which allows for easy and pretty multi-booting. I'm also the list manager for
