I actually run LiteStep on top of Explorer at work. ('cuz there's that
whole x64 thing...) I have to tell the VWM to sticky the desktop when I
reboot and the start menu always switches you to its assigned desktop,
but otherwise it works fine. If you want pretty much everything
Explorer provides with a little extra, it might be worth considering.
After a few weeks, the orphaned window shadows do start to get annoying
though.

Smurth worked out cool a way to make RabidVWM do both desktop switching
and window dragging with one mouse button. I think it was probably a
click/drag difference, but it could have been checking for a window
under where you clicked.
