HTML text in label question

Why won't this work?
 
"<font face=$MeterBacks_Font$ size=$MeterBacks_FontHeight$><br>Grabbed:
$LastCheck$<br>Updated: $LastUpDate$</font>"
 
from the theme.rc:
MeterBacks_Font "hooge 05_55"
MeterBacks_FontHeight 10

That is just a snip of a very longtext string. The way that the snip
appears is with the same font as the rest of the text string. The size
does seem to be working though. So the font name is the problem for some
reason. Sine the MeterBacks_Font value has "s around it, it should be
fine. I even tried putting &quot; around it, but that didn't work.

Any ideas?
