First, if there is another account on that PC, limited or admin, see if it is still OK. Litestep should not affect anyone else. If they are screwed as well, it is something other than litestep. Second, Download TweakUI from Microsoft. I believe there is a "Repair Desktop" function in there. Third, if it is still not working, I would change the registry settings from c:\windows\explorer.exe to just explorer.exe. (no path) It should not make a difference, but that is the default I believe. Fourth, I would look and see if he has "Launch Folder Windows in separate Process" enabled ot not.
