Hello all - I am a long time user of Litestep and I am in the middle of finally migrating over to Vista since the drivers seem to have gotten to the point they need to be. I am running Litestep under Vista but have a couple of outstanding issues. Volume Fix for Media Keyboards Just for info - v_bang and other volume control modules like umslider do not work under Vista because of the new windows mixers (as far as I can tell) - I had issues getting my G15 Keyboard to control volume correctly. Solution was to get rid of v_bang and use !execute with nircmd and jkeys to control/mute volume. Works well although I can't change volume inside games with the wheel but I had this issue before in XP. Ok, so my questions - is there any dev going on with respect to getting LS going better with Vista? If so where is it centered? I am running the experimental build July 2007 - but it doesn't seem to be aimed at getting anything running under Vista. Tray Issues I basically have 2 issues - one the tray is not showing all the icons that are present when I use the exploder as a shell - this includes windows defender, volume, updates, couple others. There may be a better tray module I should be using but I couldn't find it. I am using systray2 right now. Startup Issues Next issue is that for some reason the items in my user startup folder try to open twice when I have litestep as my shell. This does not happen if I run a really old build of litestep instead of the current ones. I suspect it has something to do with the startup detection. If I use -nostartup to start Litestep - nothing launches at all. I am thinking I might be able to fix that with startright but I would like to avoid using something custom. Does anyone have any advice for these issues? Or can you point me to where some active dev is going on so I can report these? Hopefully I can get these resolved - I cant visualize myself using the windows shell full time J Thanks for all the support for Litestep - much appreciated. Chris (Thermo)
