I am currently working on some of the Vista issues, given that I am now
running 64-bit Vista. Fortunately, your startup apps issue (which I can
confirm) has a simple fix:
http://bugs.lsdev.org/view.php?id=29
However, LS running some startup apps twice is not the entire story;
there are others it's not running at all. Might not be an issue on
32-bit Vista though.
If you want new builds either contact me via mail or come to
#litestep/#lsdev on irc.freenode.net.
Generally spoken, some basic Vista and 64-bit support seems quite doable
but requires time, work and lots of testing/bug hunting. Note that all
efforts so far are about running Litestep as a 32-bit app on 64-bit
Windows (WOW64) - you can't mix 32-bit and 64-bit code and thus a 64-bit
litestep.exe would require ported and recompiled modules too.
We may still need to modify some modules for 64-bit Windows, but we'll
see what we can do core-side.
Testers, helpers, and bug reports are very much needed and very welcome.
