P.S. on the LiteStep post

When we have a pretty good idea we know wherein this center lies, then
we can put together the materials that will introduce LiteStep to the
right people in the right way.

It is a bit like first impressions in people. If a product--especially
one that lacks the "instant credibility" that the mass of people
unthinkingly ascribe to anything done by a big corporation--sends
different messages about who and what it is, it's spooky.

That's what makes some "street people" so deeply troubling and even
scary. It's an irrational response on our part, but when the various
cues we collect don't fit together, we get an unsettled feeling down in
the pit of our self-preservation genes.

For the best future for LiteStep and for this wonderful community, we
really do need to know who it is we are saying we are, before we start
yelling too loudly. (Don't scare the tourists. . .)
