You keep asking for specs. If i had them i wouldn't ask for input. The
point of this whole discussion i've been trying to have for a year now is
to **find specs for ots3**.

The general idea is just this: Everything should be easy to upgrade, so we
can update the distribution later, but flexible. So the idea is to
seperate everything in 3 layers

1. User settings ( basically a difference file for a user from the
defaults )
2. Default settings ( default user's settings to fall back to, but
updateable )
3. distro settings ( Stuff like language files, lua stuff, whatever you
want )

There is no changelog because it was written from scratch. The personal
files are pretty much copied over from omar's. There might be changes but
i dont remember, it was written more than a year ago.

As for themes, there are few requirements. I dont know if ots2 even had
any at all, i think everything was just a convention.
But here are the hard requirements for ots3:

1. We need a way to find out if a theme is ots3 without actually loading
it yet. Therefore, add a $themedir$info.rc with at least
OTSMajorVersion 3
OTSMinorVersion 0
2. I like to use xpopups actionfolders to get rid of that whole stupid
themelist/refresh themelist stuff. Therefore a requirement is "use xpopup2"

That's it. Stuff like themeauthor or the .ini or whatever are conventions
for the utilities, i guess we can just use the same as in ots2. I dont
really know all of them, and they are pointless if the utilities don't
support then, so that is pretty much in the hands of Andymon ...

So, while we are at it we can jam in as much usefull stuff into the distro
as possible.
Fractal had that idea about global schemes, so i put it in. I like to do
funky stuff with Lua, so i added a ton of usefull lua modules. Maybe there
is more we could add?

If you want to talk about "setting x should go in file y", that's fine
(but kinda boring). Just install it and read the rc files. But i actually
wasn't in the cosmetics phase, i just like to hear about everyone's
"specs" so we have as much features to play with later as possible. Use
your fantasy ...
