I got my daughter a new laptop for Christmas - with XP on it. We're both much happier that way. =) I did install some cable modem drivers (USB connection) for somebody with a Vista laptop. I survived the experience, but it left me shaken (rather than stirred). > Anyways, hope everyone is well in the Litestep community. Brian, you > still using that Mac? Yep, I've generally been pretty happy with it. I had to write some applescripts and assign them to hotkeys (using Butler to define those, Quicksilver has been too flaky and crashy) so I could recreate "The Litestep Experience", however. TINAELXL (There Is Nothing Anywhere Else Like X Label). Using bash as shell, Firefox as browser, Thunderbird for news, [Mac]vim as my text editor, and rsync to backup/synchronize stuff, I can pretty much have a "standard" environment on any platform now. This is particularly nice when your brain has started to decay. ;) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Can't Unsubscribe?
