Well, there's some people, like me, that have just switched to
the Linux desktop, it's becoming better and better these days. Compiz gives
me enough options to keep me happy for... well, since i switched about a
year ago and counting. The interface is nice enough and customizable enough
that there really isn't any need for an alt shell, and Ubuntu has kept me s=
o
happy i don't think i'll be going back to windows anytime soon.

And i didn't realize i was still subscribed to this list...

I guess the decline of LiteStep can be attributed to better
UI designs by Microsoft, and an increasingly practical Linux desktop. Also
significant is Andymon's and Gothsecret's seeming retirement from LiteStep,
as it were last time i visited the forums.
