I've switched to linux on two machines, win7x64 on another and on this 
one I am not allowed to install ls due to it being a work computer.

while 7 isn't a perfect experience, it is certainly better than xp. 
Enough that I haven't really needed ls.

I've stayed on list to see if any more genius ideas show up. I think 
many of the old-timers on this list have grown up and found themselves 
families.
