people could learn something.
I moved to BB4Win 'cause I didn't think there was a stable release of LS 
for x64.

I think I'm just confused by what you mean when you say Linux is a toy.
There are tens of thousands of mission-critical, enterprise servers all 
over the world running one distro or another. There are scads of 
scientific applications being run on linux clusters. 19 of the top 20 of 
the world's supercomputers run Linux.

Google runs on Linux.
So using the word toy seems a bit odd, and lightweight doesn't seem 
appropriate given the weightiness of the responsibilities given to those 
servers.

On the desktop, it all depends on what you need to do with it, after 
all. For the vast majority of users, people who use computers casually 
for email, web, twitter, simple documents, media, etc. any modern OS 
will suffice. For professional use, it all depends on your profession. I 
run a Win workstation because Adobe software won't run on Linux, and I 
have neither need nor desire to pay the Apple tax. As I move away from 
print graphics and more towards video I could even see using Gimp, 
Inkscape and Cinelerra on Linux, as I wouldn't need the more advanced 
features of Photoshop or Illustrator. But not having After Effects is a 
deal breaker.

Anyway, thanks for your response, and your critique of Win7. Looks like 
I'll not be moving to that anytime soon.
