*SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ISSUE

LONDON WINDOWS INTERNALS CLASSES OPEN FOR REGISTRATION

Come to the London Heathrow Marriott in June to delve into the internals of
Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 with David Solomon & Mark Russinovich, authors of
Inside Windows 2000 3rd edition - visit http://www.sysinternals.com for
details (note: special discount pricing for Microsoft employees). Two
classes will be presented:

1. June 24: Troubleshooting with the Sysinternals Tools (by David
Solomon)

In this one day class, learn advanced techniques for applying the key
freeware tools from Sysinternals.com (Filemon, Regmon, & Process Explorer)
to troubleshoot a range of system and application issues (DLL conflicts,
permission problems, registry issues, etc). These tools are used on a daily
basis by Microsoft Product Support and have been used effectively to solve a
wide variety of desktop and server issues, so being familiar with their
operation and application will assist you in dealing with different problems
on Windows. Real world examples will be given that show successful
application of these tools to solve real problems.

2. June 25-27: Windows Internals & Advanced Troubleshooting (by David
Solomon & Mark Russinovich)

This 3 day class will give you an in-depth understanding of the core kernel
architecture of Windows NT/2000/XP/2003, including the internals of
processes, thread scheduling, memory management, I/O, the registry,
security, and the boot process. Also covered are the advanced
troubleshooting techniques covered in the 1 day class above in addition to
crash dump (blue screen) analysis. Why take this class? A deep understanding
of operating system internals will help you troubleshoot and debug more
effectively as well as understand system performance issues. And because the
course was developed with full access to the Windows source code AND
developers, you know you're getting the real story.

NOTE: Advance discount pricing ends May 27, so register soon at

NEW LIBRARY LICENSE FOR WINDOWS INTERNALS VIDEOS

INSIDE Windows 2000-On Video continues to be a huge success. Commenting on
Microsoft's use of these videos for global training, Rob Short, Microsoft
Vice President of Core Technologies said: "These videos drill into the core
of the platform, capture its technical essence and present it in a powerful
interactive format."

The new Library License fits nicely between the individual single user
license and large quantity multi-user licenses for large corporations. The
Library License allows for a set of disks to be used by an unlimited number
of employees of the same company as long as the contents are not copied from
the original optical media.

At $2450 the Library License fee is less than twice the normal retail price
of a single user, yet it can serve as many users within your company as you
want. It's available in both DVD video and CD- ROM formats.

Library Licenses can be purchased at http://www.solsem.com/vid_purchase.html
