For more information and to register, visit http://www.sysinternals.com/seminar.shtml ========================================== OCTOBER 7-9: Windows Internals & Advanced Troubleshooting This 3 day class will give you an in-depth understanding of the core kernel architecture of Windows NT/2000/XP/2003, including the internals of processes, thread scheduling, memory management, I/O, the registry, security, and the boot process. Also covered are the advanced troubleshooting techniques covered in the 1 day class above in addition to crash dump (blue screen) analysis. Why take this class? A deep understanding of operating system internals will help you troubleshoot and debug more effectively as well as understand system performance issues. And because the course was developed with full access to the Windows source code AND developers, you know you're getting the real story. OCTOBER 10: HANDS-ON Troubleshooting with the Sysinternals Tools In this one day HANDS-ON class, learn advanced techniques for applying the key freeware tools from Sysinternals.com (Filemon, Regmon, & Process Explorer) to troubleshoot a range of system and application issues (DLL conflicts, permission problems, registry issues, etc). These tools are used on a daily basis by Microsoft Product Support and have been used effectively to solve a wide variety of desktop and server issues, so being familiar with their operation and application will assist you in dealing with different problems on Windows. Real world examples will be given that show successful application of these tools to solve real problems. NOTE: Each student must bring their own laptop running Windows 2000 or Windows XP. We will send you in advance a list of which freeware tools from Sysinternals you will need to download. |-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-|-+-| Thank you for reading the Sysinternals Newsletter.
