It's not.  Loadable firmware requires udev/hotplug, in my understanding, 
and the Unattended boot CD doesn't support udev/hotplug

No, there's a long timeout for firmware loading.  In my case (Broadcom 
Ethernet cards that accept but do not require loadable firmware), I simply 
reduced the timeout to 3 seconds or something to make the boot process 
faster.

No.  AFAICT, loadable firmware has *never* worked with the Unattended boot 
CD.

I asked about this several times in the past with zero feedback. 
Fortunately for me, it was mostly cosmetic/delay, and I hacked around it. 
If you look in the list archives starting from April or so 2011 you'll see 
the bits that I previously posted, including how to reduce the timeout. 
But if you *need* the firmware, it's not gonna help.
