[Unattended] unattended dos boot disk

Hi,
 
We have just started using your unattended software package.
 
We were using the linux boot cd, that was working fine.
But started to use this on some new laptops we purchased and noticed the
kernel on the linux boot cd must be too old for the hardware, and does
not have the network drivers.
 
So I tried the dos boot disk, I got it connecting to the unattended
server, but when it creates the master boot record, I get an error.
 
Creating c:\netinst...FAILED : Too many open files (EMFILE) at
z:\dosbin\install.pl line 1658.
 
I tried increasing the FILES= in the config.sys file to 200.
That made no difference.
 
I then tried adding
Regards,max open files = 50539 under the global section for smb.conf.
Still no difference.
 
I was wondering if you have seen this before.
It would be good if I could get the linux boot cd working if the dos
boot disk is not going to work.
 
Incase you are interested what hardware I am trying it on.
 
The 2 types of laptops are a Lenovo T410 and a HP Elitebook 8540p.
For the dos boot disk I am using the e1000.dos network driver.
