Hi Jochen,
I don't know what your problem comes from but I would be suprised it comes from the WTL, CString or Vista.
I have several VC6 XP-compiled implementation of CFileDialog (both Open & Save) running on Vista and all has always be fine.
There are CFileDialog examples in the WTL SDK samples. Maybe you should give them a closer look and compare with your code.
