Re: Windows mobile RIP

Windows Phone 7 is a Zune with dial tone.   Not a practical platform for
*mobile* computing at the enterprise level.  You know, where the money
is.

 

I'm praying this yet another New Coke/Vista moment in Microsoft's
history, and they'll announce a separate Windows Mobile 7, the successor
to 6.5, for non-phone, non-consumer mobile device development.  By
"non-phone" I mean a pocket-size device for enterprise/specific apps
requiring push connectivity (and by that I don't mean dial-tone or SMS).
If MS dumps this market, I'll shift to Android.  And that's not good for
MS's long-term future.
