The following bug has been CLOSED ======================================================================= http://bugs.xfce.org/view_bug_page.php?f_id=0000008 ======================================================================= Reporter: mrtout Handler: huysmans ======================================================================= Project: XFCE Bug ID: 0000008 Category: other Reproducibility: always Severity: tweak Priority: low Status: closed ======================================================================= Date Submitted: 2003-11-16 17:48 GMT Last Modified: 2003-12-03 14:59 GMT ======================================================================= Summary: xfdesktop should update menu when new software are installed Description: xfdesktop handles changes made in the main menu file but do not take care of sub-files, like /etc/X11/xfce4/menudefs.hook in the debian distribution. ======================================================================= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- huysmans - 2003-11-16 18:33 GMT ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, you are right, of course, but current implementation does not permit this. I am aware of the problem and will try to incorporate it in the next version of the menu. It has no priority now. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- botsie - 2003-11-18 12:49 GMT ----------------------------------------------------------------------- A menu-spec compliant menu implementation would eliminate the need for monitoring the debian menu (hopefully). Nevertheless, this would be useful to have. 4.2 material probably. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- huysmans - 2003-12-03 14:58 GMT ----------------------------------------------------------------------- No actually a bug, but a feature request. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- huysmans - 2003-12-03 14:59 GMT ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Closing it, although it would indeed be nice to have ;-)
