Hi,

it depends, yes and no. Consider to take a look on your own by using a
Linux and/or a FreeBSD live media.

I recommend to use https://xubuntu.org/ and
https://www.nomadbsd.org/index.html for testing purpose. If it should
fulfil your needs, you don't need to stay with Xubuntu or NomadBSD, but
for taking a look both are excellent.
