That at least was incorrect in Germany in 2017 when I bought mine: "As
of 2010, most premium branded panel manufacturers specify their products
as Class 0, expecting a small number of returns due to early failure
where a particular item fails to meet Class 0 but would meet Class 1.
Budget panel manufacturers tend to specify their products as Class 1."

When I bought mine, in 2017, in Germany, the monitors of almost all
brand manufacturers and no-name manufacturers were advertised with Class
2, only EIZO offered Class 1 and not one manufacturer offered Class 0.

Btw, the last time I checked my screen, there was no pixel error. It's
been a while since I've done any testing, but at least when using it, I
still can't see any pixel errors. I have seen pixel errors on other
monitors that were brand new, at first glance, without doing any
testing.

Of course, that's another trick, simply selling stuff as better than it
is and building on it and factoring in returns. i don't know what it's
like today, but in 2017 EIZO had a reputation for not doing that. At
that time, no-name manufacturers also exchanged new monitors with
faults, but there is a high probability that you still want to have a
decent picture after the warranty period ;). I don't know what the
situation is with monitors. With spinning drives, it was always like
that, if you recommended certain models of certain brands, they were no
longer what they used to be. EIZO used to have the best reputation, but
I don't know what it's like today.
