I've always used resource files and wicd on my laptops. I want to replace this practice with the advanced network manager using xfce4-4.16.2 on Slackware64-15.0 on my Lenovo T430. I removed all configurations in /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf and turned off the execute bits for /etc/rc.d/rc.wireless; rc.networkmanager has no executable bits but is loaded when the laptop is booted. Using the panel(2) setup I installed the advanced network manager. However, when I load it the display is blank: no ethernet LAN, no WiFi networks including the local one. What have I missed or done incorrectly? TIA, Rich _______________________________________________ Xfce mailing list [email protected] https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce http://www.xfce.org
