I'm contributing patches to the Unichrome project. If you integrate 
their code into
XFree86 periodically then you will be in better shape then what shipped 
in 4.5.0.
I get to spend time on these drivers only when they break, its part of 
my day job.
I cannot commit time in an ongoing basis.

I suggest you contact Luc Verhaegen of the Unichrome project for on 
going support.
